Grant's vintage TV game (pong) collection
(UK, 1970's only)

These mainly come in three main variations...
1. Analogue/digital discrete circuitry
   - Black and white only
2. Four or six (standard four + two shooting) games based on the AY-3-8500 chip
   - Black and white or colour
3. Ten games based on the AY-3-8610 chip
   - Colour only

Some of the ten game versions had the AY-3-8610 chips mounted in a cartridge to allow other game chips to be used in it's place.

A note about the AY-3-8500:
There are actually TWO UK PAL versions of this chip. The ones used in the black and white machines are not the same as the ones in the colour machines. The difference is minor, but the black and white machines have thinner bats than the colour versions. If you swap the chips between the black and white and the colour consoles then you will see the difference.

The pictures below are REAL screenshots produced myself on a CRT television. Where common machines produce identical display then the same screenshots are used. The banding that appears on some of the pictures is inherent with taking a photograph of a CRT screen (due to the screen scan) and is not visible when being played.

Dimensions are approximate. These refer to the main case and exclude the switches/knobs.

These are not shown in any particular order, but the analogue ones would be somewhere between 1974 and 1976, the 4/6 game machines approx 1976 to 1977 and the 10 game machines late 70's.
